Carousel
Your love is like a carousel, ever moving
up and down
It never stays in just one place, but is
always moving 'round.
First you say you love me true and that
we shall never part,
And next thing you know, you turn from me
and callously break my heart.
It's going ever faster, as the music
keeps the beat, |

Causing me to panic as I hang tight to my
seat;
Wondering if this dizzying ride is worth
the price I've paid,
Or if soon I'll have cause to regret the
choice I've made?
Then just as I think that all is lost,
you come around back to me
And beg me to forgive you, heart in hand,
on bended knee.
As I go round and round with you,
pondering on this thing,
I wonder if it's possible to ever grab
the brass ring?
Or am I doomed to ride forever on this
carousel,
Up and down and round and round: guess
only time will tell.
But I look forward to the day when we get
off this ride,
And together we grasp the big brass ring,
happily side by side.
